By: Ismail Athman -- Nov. 13, 2024, 8:23 p.m.The University of Saint Joseph Mbarara (USJM) is proud to announce the integration of Kyera Agricultural Training College into our institution, marking a historic milestone as we establish the USJM Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry, and Environment. This union strengthens our commitment to advancing education in critical fields that will shape the future of Uganda’s natural resources, food security, and environmental stewardship.
The signing of the integration agreement was a momentous occasion, led by His Grace Lambert Bainomugisha, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Chancellor of the University. In the presence of distinguished members from the Governing Councils of both USJM and Kyera, this event represents not only a blending of institutions but also a shared vision for sustainable development, research, and innovation in agriculture and environmental sciences.
As we embark on this exciting new chapter, we look forward to producing graduates who will be leaders in promoting sustainable practices, conserving biodiversity, and enhancing the productivity of our nation’s agricultural sector. Together, we are committed to fostering a future where knowledge and integrity drive progress in agriculture, forestry, and environmental management.
